Former President Pratibha Patil, the first woman to hold the esteemed position in India, has been admitted to a hospital in Pune, Maharashtra, after experiencing fever and chest infection. The 89-year-old former President was admitted to Bharti Hospital on Wednesday night, where her condition is reported to be stable and under the supervision of medical professionals.

Serving as the 12th President of India from 2007 to 2012, Patil has been an inspiration for women across the nation, showcasing exemplary leadership during her tenure. As her treatment continues, her resilience and contributions to Indian politics stand as a testament to her enduring legacy.
